STEVEN H. PRESTON is a partner in the firm's
Litigation Department. He was born in New Hyde
Park, New York and graduated magna
cum laude from Boston University in 1984
with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Mr. Preston also graduated with an M.B.A. in Finance
from New York University in 1987. He received
his law degree from the University of Florida
in 1992 with highest honors and was third in his
class. While at the University of Florida, Mr.
Preston was a recipient of American Jurisprudence
Book Awards in Contracts I, Constitutional Law
I, Corporate Law, Employment Discrimination and
Jurisprudence. Upon graduation, Mr. Preston was
awarded the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Mr. Preston was admitted to the Connecticut Bar
in 1993 and the Florida Bar in 1994. He is currently
admitted to practice before the United States
District Court, Southern and Middle Districts
of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals
and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to
joining the firm, Mr. Preston worked for an Orlando
commercial and tort litigation firm, and he has
also worked in those areas for firms in Miami
and Fort Lauderdale. In addition to litigation,
Mr. Preston has experience in federal and state
appellate practice. Currently, Mr. Preston concentrates
his practice in civil and commercial litigation.
